Great food and great atmosphere.
I actually want to give no stars to this plush overly hyped restaurant, then again I cant post it if i do not give it a star. The Chef really knows how to present the food, the food looked brilliant(just like the dcor) and once you have your first taste the 'gastronomic ride ' on the Onyx ends..its a Sharpe turn into winding road of bland and flavourless... if you never had the experience of eating something just because it is edible .. try their pastas and the fish of the day .... this is the third and the last time my family and friends will visit this restaurant we were unanimously disappointed...... There is only one thing worse than being served a terrible meal: being served a terrible meal by rude waitress, who dutifully asks "are you happy?", well I guess she just expected a resounding yes.. I responded to the contrary surprised by my response she retorted and points to the table saltwell I guess she could tell I was upset by that response ..she goes on consoling me with in Germany we use a lot of salt.I will take your comments to the Chef.To the Chefdo you know what is seasoning ?...I suggest you look it upoverall your main course was sub-average with a glorified presentationTo the Onyx management, I have not seen this waitress before..so I am guessing she is new..train her upFortunately the food is easily forgetful and hopefully I will forget that lousy interaction with that arrogant waitress as quickly.
Onyx on Sharpe is a great place to go. With an outside seating area, it's a good spot to be as the sun sets.Staff were kept busy with the amount of people around at the time we went, however they were always making sure we were served.The menu has a whole variety of choices available, although it is quite limited for vegetarian options.The size of the meals are quite large, so make sure you come with an empty stomach! The food was cooked to perfection, and was quite filling.Try out Onyx if you're in the mood for some good food, however try to come earlier if possible as it does seem to fill up fast!
Meals were served promptly, staff were attentive to our needs. The meals were really well prepared, I highly recommend the fish of the day.
What a lovely night. The food was amazing. The Canadian staff member was great. Obviously a great chef and super customer service. Manager/Owner hands on and looking after everyone to make sure they are happy.
